The BrainMatch team is made up of passionate entrepreneurs who believe in the power of meaningful work – and who seek to use that power to help reform education. And while the business and most of the team is located in the Austin, Texas area, as advocates of a 21st Century workforce, we function as a collaborative and virtual team, and are therefore always on the lookout for entrepreneurial self-starters who share our passion, regardless of where they live. The Team

Charles Andretta,II, CEO & Founder – Charles first discovered his entrepreneurial leanings at age 8 – initially, as a peer tutor for hire and, later, as a school-yard reseller of M&Ms to his fellow classmates looking for an after-lunch snack. He grew up as an inner-city youth in the Southeast Bronx, before attending the Bronx High School of Science and the City University of New York, Herbert H. Lehman College, where he studied biochemistry and developmental psychology. As an INTJ, Charles’ natural predisposition centers heavily on strategy development, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement (system building). His professional experience includes social entrepreneurship, background investigations & pre-employment screening, real estate/property management, the US Army, warehouse logistics and IT operations management.

Abdul Jabali, Systems Manager – Abdul Jabali is a senior business consultant who brings with him over fifteen years of experience in business analysis across fields such as environmental, internet, telecommunications and entertainment. In addition to owning his own consulting practice, Abdul has worked in both startup and Fortune 100 environments, including Prodigy and AT&T. His skills are augmented by years in project management and business process development.

Kirra Hamman, Operations Analyst – After most recently leading large scale volunteer programs and community outreach initiatives for one of Austin’s largest non-profits, Kirra is an energetic communications professional and entrepreneur. Not only has Kirra been a school teacher, but she also worked in the Career Services Center while attending Texas State University at San Marcos, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s in Communication and Advertising.

Vicki Flaugher, Marketing Manager – Vicki is a marketing specialist focused on effectively leveraging online strategies to build revenue. As a business owner, Vicki has 10 years experience specializing in marketing strategy development and implementation, joint ventures, SEO and small business process, as well as purchasing and project management.

Jonathan England, Community Outreach – At Dell, Jonathan demonstrated success managing projects for over a decade with a strong emphasis on technology, process engineering, and continuous improvement. More recently, he and his wife own a boutique web hosting business. Jonathan also drove process improvement initiatives within the American Cancer Society, while simultaneously coordinating volunteer teams and increasing tech system efficiencies.

Alora Chistiakoff, Engagement Manager – Alora has been working in the technology sector since 1996, and in ecommerce since 2000. Coming from a background that includes profitable bootstrapped startups as well as successfully exited VC-backed startups, Alora’s truest passion is around career management and using modern technology to make your professional dreams a reality. As a career-long online business professional, Alora has worked with organizations ranging from ArmaniExchange and Urban Outfitters to Starwood Hotels and JetBlue Airways, in both staff and consulting capacities. Alora studied organizational behavior at the University of San Francisco.

Chana Campos, Development Lead – Chana has over 20 years of experience as a developer and enterprise architect for businesses and governmental agencies in both the US and EU. Chana’s career highlights include assignments as Enterprise Architect for KLM Airline (France), Drupal Trainer to NASA’s development team, Drupal Implementation Leader for University of Texas – Innovation & Entrepreneurship, and Technical Architect for Accenture, serving such notable clients as the Belgian Government. As an entrepreneur, Chana’s passion is in technology training and development.

Board of Advisors

John Fandel, DEPlabs

As Principle of DEPlabs, John Fandel has over 20 years in executive management of high growth technology and management consulting companies. He is a results-driven leader with a proven track record building flexible, scalable and sustainable business operations focused in the e-commerce, technology and financial services markets. His experience in leveraging and optimizing organizational resource – people/talent, business processes and systems – to provide the operational efficiencies required to successfully deliver profitable, high-value business solutions for complex public and private organizations is critical to the success of our client sponsored initiatives.

Before joining DEPlabs, John was the Executive Vice President Business Solutions and a Managing Partner for Hinchcliffe & Company, a 2.0 strategy services firm focused on Fortune 500 and early-stage web/enterprise 2.0 solution companies.

More recently, he was an EVP and General Manager of Corporate Solutions for O’Reilly Media, Inc., a prominent technology publishing and events production company. Prior to O’Reilly, served as Sr. Executive and COO with MarketLive, Inc., a leading enterprise ecommerce software and solution provider. Before joining MarketLive, he held senior management roles in the business consulting industry.

John is also an active board member and advisor to several web-based startup and early-stage companies, providing strategic and operational guidance.

John holds a BS Degree in Accounting from San Francisco State University and has completed Graduate Studies in Information Technology at San Francisco State University.

Serry Lowry, Master Certified Coach

Sherry Lowry, MCC, is a lifetime serial entrepreneur. For the most recent seventeen years, she has delighted in taking the best learnings forward from six previous business focuses to include in her services as a full time, professional business mentor and a collaboration and alliance coach.

Sherry has worked with mentors of entire industries, as well as with hundreds of corporate and organizational leaders, teams, and individual, entrepreneurial owners and/or privately with other C-Level executives. She has been well prepared for this set of endeavors as this is actually her seventh business within seven different industries over four decades.

Her educational background includes over one-thousand hours of internship during completion of two advanced academic degrees. Sherry Lowry’s coaching-specific background is extensive. Highlights include graduation from Coach University; Therapist University and Institute for Life-Coach Training (ILCT).

Sherry is active in community service, participating on 15 community-related non-profit and corporate boards over 4 decades. This includes serving 3 terms on her own industry’s International Coach Federation Board and Ethics and Standards of Conduct Committee for coaching as this organization grew from 250 to a 11,000 global membership, which now is up to 16,000. She currently serves on ICF’s Credentials Review Committee involving her in candidate examination processes at all individual and program levels. She also carries this organization’s highest granted credential of Master Certified Coach (MCC.)

John Jackson, IE Discovery

With eighteen years of industry experience, John joined IE Discovery in 2006 as the Director of Operations. He is responsible for the day to day execution of client services including forensics, discovery, collection, coding, processing, E-Discovery, data analysis, production, and Document Review. In addition to execution of E-Discovery services , John’s teams are responsible for the ongoing process of improvements in capacity, process, technology, and vendor management.

John graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. As a Naval Officer, he served as an officer on fast-attack submarines and provided intelligence and analytical support, as well as leadership to the Naval Space Command.

After leaving the service, John joined Austin-based Dell, Inc. as a Program Manager in R&D and Services. In that role, he led large project teams and initiatives focusing on product development, process improvement, and operational execution. During this time, John completed his Masters of Science in Telecommunications at Southern Methodist University. John also carries the Project Management Professional (PMP), and Certified Information Systems Security Professional certifications (CISSP) titles.

After transitioning to Lucent Technologies in Washington D.C., John leveraged his civilian and military background to manage government contracts and initiatives, including proposal, capture, and post-award support for the Department of Defense and Intelligence communities. With exposure to multiple levels of management, John brings a distinctive management style to IE Discovery. His unparalleled experience is an invaluable resource in assisting our clients with the complex operational issues they face day to day.
